Welcome to our Secret Garden “It is astonishing how short a time it can take for very wonderful things to happen.” – Secret GardenFor this season’s showroom, we drew influence from the iconic 20th-century novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. A masterpiece that encapsulates the magic, mystery and majestic beauty our outside world can behold, how could we not use this for our Springtime inspiration? Source: KOBO.com For our showroom, we wanted to capture the same wild wonder that Hodgson Burnett carries through the book. Here’s how we did it… Blooming botanicals We needed to capture the cacophony of color a Springtime garden provides. For this, we had to turn to House of Hackney. The pioneers of pattern never fail to impress with their spectacular creations, and Hollyhocks Spring was everything we needed. The matching walls and furniture is our little homage to them. It’s all natural The best way to celebrate nature, is to support it. We take great pride in our eco-friendly and natural wallcoverings and fabrics here at NewWall. That’s why Secret Garden Grasscloth takes center stage in our showroom. Secret Garden Grasscloth by Abnormals Anonymous Secret Garden Grasscloth Blue Velvet Secret Garden Grasscloth Blue Velvet Textured, timeless and tough, this all natural design from Abnormals Anonymous is the perfect way to celebrate Spring. Our secret garden holds more than a homage…there may just be some extra hidden treats showcasing what’s to come from this particular design house! Fantastical features When little Mary Lennox discovers her secret garden, she’s transported to another world, right on her doorstep. We wanted to capture this spirit in our showroom, and we could think of no better way than with a fantastical feature wall. Ovidio Spring, Verde by Coordonné For this, we turned to the beautiful Ovidio Spring, Verdi, from the iconic design house of Coordonné. A true cunjurer of calm, this stunning design is the perfect secret garden scene. Ovidio Spring, Verde by Coordonné To create this particular feature, we used the linen print – a brand new substrate offered from the geniuses at Coordonné. Part of their Aracne collection, the new fabrics of linen and silk are a simply beautiful way to add a touch of texture. We hope you enjoyed this tour around our Springtime showroom.
