Retail Client | Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply exclusively to Retail Clients purchasing from NewWall.

Approved Trade Clients, Interior Designers, Architects, and other authorized Trade Accounts are governed by separate Trade Terms & Conditions.

Unless otherwise stated within these Terms & Conditions, all Retail Client sales are final.

Orders

All orders and stock reservations must be submitted electronically by the Retail Client or an authorized representative.

Retail Clients are responsible for reviewing and confirming all product selections, colours, quantities, dimensions, pricing, and shipping information before submitting an order.

Complete shipping instructions must be provided at the time an order is placed. Unless otherwise requested, orders will be shipped using NewWall's preferred carrier.

Customers choosing to use their own carrier must provide complete carrier details when placing the order. Once an order has been released to the customer's designated carrier, NewWall is not responsible for loss, damage, delays, or claims arising during transit.

A packaging and handling fee applies to customer-arranged shipments:

  • 2-6 rolls: $7.50 flat fee.
  • 7-12 rolls or 5-32 yards: $20.00 flat fee.
  • 13 or more rolls, or 33 or more yards: 1% of the order total.

Payment Methods

Retail orders require payment in full at the time an order is placed unless otherwise agreed in writing.

NewWall accepts payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, wire transfer, and approved cheque.

Cheque payments are accepted only with prior approval and must be made payable to New Wall Inc.

Orders exceeding $10,000 CAD must be paid by wire transfer or credit card unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A 3.5% processing fee applies to all credit card payments.

Customers paying by wire transfer are responsible for all applicable bank and transfer fees.

To help protect our clients and prevent unauthorized transactions, NewWall may conduct fraud prevention checks on selected orders. This may include verification of billing and shipping information or requests for additional documentation before an order is processed.

An order confirmation will automatically be emailed upon receipt of your order. Please review your confirmation carefully and notify NewWall immediately of any errors.

Pricing, Shipping & Delivery

Prices are quoted per applicable unit and are subject to change until an order has been confirmed.

Product photography, printed materials, online images, and digital renderings are intended as visual references only. Due to differences in monitors, printers, lighting conditions, manufacturing processes, and natural material variations, colours, textures, finishes, and scale may vary from the final product. NewWall strongly recommends ordering a sample before purchasing wallpaper or wallcoverings.

Products ship from NewWall's Distribution Centre in Toronto, Ontario, or directly from one of our international manufacturing partners, depending on the product.

Freight, handling, insurance, customs, brokerage, duties, tariffs, taxes, and other applicable shipping charges are additional unless otherwise specified in the quotation or order confirmation.

Delivery dates are estimates only and may vary due to manufacturing schedules, transportation delays, customs clearance, weather conditions, labour disruptions, or other circumstances beyond NewWall's reasonable control.

Tariff Surcharge

Applicable orders entering the United States may be subject to government-imposed tariffs payable upon delivery. Sample orders are excluded unless otherwise stated.

Stock & Availability

Stock may be reserved for up to four (4) days, after which the reservation may be released without notice.

Estimated lead times are:

  • Toronto Distribution Centre: approximately 4-7 business days.
  • International manufacturers: approximately 4 weeks.

Rush orders and direct manufacturer shipments may be available upon request and are subject to additional freight and handling charges.

Sample Availability

Sample availability is subject to change without notice.

If a sample becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, NewWall will notify the client by email and offer one of the following options:

Wait for Replenishment

The sample may be placed on backorder with an estimated lead time of approximately 2-3 weeks. Choosing this option will delay shipment of the entire sample order until all items are available.

Remove the Unavailable Sample

The unavailable sample may be cancelled and refunded while the remaining samples are shipped as scheduled.

Clients have 48 hours to respond. If no response is received, NewWall will assume the client wishes to wait for replenishment and will hold the sample order accordingly.

Sample lead times are estimates only and remain subject to manufacturer availability.

Custom Murals & Made-to-Order Products

Custom murals, made-to-order, special-order, and bespoke products are manufactured specifically for each project and are final sale.

Customers are responsible for verifying all measurements, specifications, approved artwork, and production drawings prior to manufacture.

Production will proceed based on the approved drawing, including scale, placement, cropping, and panel layout.

Once production has commenced, custom products cannot be cancelled, modified, returned, or exchanged.

Product Inspection & Installation

All products must be inspected immediately upon receipt and before installation.

Professional installation by a qualified wallcovering installer is strongly recommended.

Installation of any product constitutes acceptance of the product's colour, pattern, texture, finish, and condition.

If a manufacturing defect is suspected, installation must stop immediately and NewWall must be notified before any additional material is installed.

No claims will be accepted for products that have been cut, altered, or installed.

Cancellations

Stock orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of receipt by NewWall, provided the order has not shipped or entered production.

Orders cancelled after 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the order value.

Orders that have shipped cannot be cancelled.

Custom murals, made-to-order products, special-order products, approved production drawings, and bespoke products cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

Returns & Claims

Returns, exchanges, or refunds are only considered for verified manufacturing defects or shipping damage.

Claims must be submitted in writing within thirty (30) days of delivery and include supporting photographs.

Claims must be submitted before installation.

No claims will be accepted for products that have been cut, altered, installed, or otherwise used, except where required by applicable consumer protection legislation.

Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, NewWall's sole obligation is to replace the defective product.

Limitation of Liability

NewWall's liability is limited solely to the replacement of defective material where a manufacturing defect has been confirmed.

NewWall shall not be responsible for installation costs, labour charges, removal costs, contractor fees, project delays, loss of profits, consequential or incidental damages, incorrect customer-supplied measurements, improper installation, unsuitable site conditions, or any indirect losses.

Under no circumstances shall NewWall's total liability exceed the original purchase price of the affected product.

Force Majeure

NewWall shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labour disputes, transportation interruptions, supplier shortages, customs delays, government actions, pandemics, or other unforeseen circumstances.

General

By placing an order with NewWall, the Retail Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Retail Client purchases unless otherwise agreed in writing by NewWall.

NewWall reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
